Know which printing you hold.

CardComps scans a Pokémon TCG card, finds it in a catalog of 58,948 cards and tells you the exact printing: normal, holo, reverse holo, Poké Ball or Master Ball pattern. Then it shows what that printing sells for.

Reverse holo and normal copies of the same card can differ in price several times over, and that is exactly where scanners mix them up. When CardComps isn't sure, it asks you instead of guessing.

How a scan works

  1. 1. Lay the card flat

    Face up on a table. A plain dark surface works best.

  2. 2. Fit it into the frame

    Hold the phone above the card. When the frame turns green, the first shot is taken.

  3. 3. Tilt the phone

    Tilt toward you until the card fills the slanted frame. The angle is how the app sees the foil.
